In the near future, the United States government collapses and rebels take over the Texas government. Fear and agoraphobia take over the public and a Tech company produces live avatars so people never have to leave their homes again. This produces a conformed society. Teenagers must choose higher learning or military in order to obtain citizenship or face exile or arrest. Nura, the daughter of freedom fighter parents is forced to join a citizenship program and enroll in a digital campus, VELA. She reflects on her parents, their fight and what it meant to be a US citizen before the collapse. She is faced with a decision to do what is necessary for survival or do what is right in her heart.

About 1 in 5 teens in the United States suffer from a mental disorder severe enough to impact their daily activities, either currently or at some point in their lives. Depression is rising among American teenagers, and it should be talked about more often. With depression comes side effects. One of them being suicidal thoughts. Kevin Hines is a suicide survivor, and his story is a real miracle. When Kevin was 17, he attempted suicide by jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, California. He is one of twenty-five to survive that horrific jump. He is open about his mental illnesses, and many teens can relate to the way he feels. His story helps people realize that speaking up about your issues is very important. He is featured in this film as a reminder to the audience that there is hope, but most importantly that they are not alone.

The events that occurred on November 5th, 2017 in Sutherland Springs Texas, changed the American landscape forever. The community is healing by spreading joy and love to others. Even after the horrific event that shook the Nation, these survivors teach us all the true meaning of giving and healing. Evil did not win.






Four Hours Until Impact

Four Hours until Impact is about the last hours of existence as the meteor is racing towards the Earth. The day starts off like any other for Nikki, an adopted child from Russia. Nikki makes her mom angry as she leaves home with her boyfriend, Jack. However, they aren’t away long. Shortly after, their phones go off warning them of a meteor striking the Earth. Nikki and Jack navigate the rest of the day with panic until a turn of events changes Nikki and Jacks live's Forever. No one was expected to survive, but not everything is always what it seems.
